Becoming a Committee Member
Hunters Hall is a special place. All tenants are Members of the Co-op. Only Co-op Members can be elected as Committee Members. The Members of the Co-op elect the Committee to run the Co-op.
The Committee are elected by the Annual General Meeting held in September of each year. Every year 1/3 of the elected Committee Members must stand down.
The maximum number of Committee Members is 15. The minimum is 7.
In addition to the elected Members, the Committee can decide to Co-opt people on to the Committee. Co-optees do not have to be Co-op Members and a maximum of 1/3 of the Committee can be made up of Co-optees.
If you would like to find out more about becoming a Committee Member you can talk to an existing Committee Member or the Co-op’s Interim Director, Nicola Thom. Nicola can be contacted on the Co-op’s main number 0131 657 3379 or email nthom@huntershall.org.uk
