Following the outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19), we have been closely monitoring the situation. We are working to minimise the impact on service delivery to tenants as much as possible.

The health and wellbeing of our tenants is paramount, and we are taking appropriate steps, in line with UK Government and Public Health guidance to minimise risks to tenants and staff.

To help us do that we will be asking everyone that we visit, and everyone contacting the office, if they are self-isolating. This will allow us to advise our staff and contractors not to visit you at home.

Since Monday 23rd March, the Co-op office has been closed to the public. We will continue to offer you a telephone service as normal and will advise you of any changes to this.

Repairs

From Monday 23rd March, we have been operating an emergency repairs service only. You can still report non-essential routine repairs via our website or by phoning the office but these repairs will not be processed for now. All updates on our repairs service will be posted on our website.

Rent

As the office is closed to the public, we would remind you of the range of ways you can pay your rent: -

1) On-line via digital banking. The Co-op's bank details are:

Please put your name next to your payment.

2) You can set up a bank standing order. Please contact the office if you wish a form to be sent to you. You should complete and return this to the Co-op office if you wish to change paying by this method. Your bank may require a period of time to make the Standing Order effective, so any rent payments due before this could be made by phone or via digital banking.

3) You can phone the office with your bank card to pay by switch.

4) Pay at any Post Office with your post office card - although the Post Offices may run a reduced service.

If you are experiencing difficulties in paying your rent, please contact the office and speak with Sylvia Clyde, Senior Housing Officer who will be happy to help you. 

Fiona Bonar, our Welfare  Rights Officer is also available on Wednesdays for advice by phone.

Events

Our Dogs Trust Event scheduled for 31 March 2020 has been postponed. We will update you once an alternative date has been arranged.

Smoke/Co2 Detector Upgrade

All scheduled appointments with tenants from 23 March 2020 made by the intall contractors R.B. Grant have been postponed and will be rearranged when it is safe to do so.

New Bathrooms

All scheduled appointments with tenants from 24 March 2020 made by the install contractors L & D Services have been postponed and will be rearranged when it is safe to do so. Similarly, no bathroom surveys of properties due an upgrade will be carried out at present.

Landscaping

All landscaping work to communal backgreens, common areas, and garden aid properties has been postponed from 25/3/20 for an initial period of 3 weeks. The weekly litter collection has also been suspended at this time. 

Stair Cleaning and Skip Service

The stair cleaning service has been amended temporarily to sanitising surfaces, door entry systems, bannisters, and handles. The skip service has been suspended from 24/3/20 until further notice. No skip will be available on 1/4/20 and no bulk items should be left by the Co-op office.  

Summary

The advice from both the UK and Scottish Governments is changing regularly. We are committed to continuing to provide the fullest and best service possible during these challenging times and will advise you of any changes as the situation develops.
