How to Pay Your Rent
Your rent is due on the 1st of each month in advance. You can pay your rent:
By Standing Order:
Many tenants will find this is the easiest and most convenient method of payment. It automatically takes the payment from your bank or building society account. Setting up your standing order is quick and simple. The amount you pay by standing order will need to be changed when your rent increases. Please contact the office on 0131 657 3379 and we can help you set up or amend your standing order.
At any Post Office:
You can pay your rent at any Post Office or Sub-Post Office in the United Kingdom. You can either pay by cash or switch. Just present your swipe card with your chosen payment method to the cashier. You make cheques payable to ‘Post Office Counters Ltd’. You will be issued with a receipt which you should keep as proof of payment.
If you lose or have your Post Office swipe card stolen you should notify us immediately.
By Debit Card in the Office:
We have a card machine in the office. Simply come in to the office during opening hours and we can quickly and easily take a payment from you and issue you with a receipt.
By Debit Card over the phone:
We are happy to take card payments over the phone. Please ring the office during opening hours and we can take payment details. A receipt will be posted out to you.
